Mademoiselle Jou

Mademoiselle Jou

Over the years, Maison Catanzaro has had the chance to collaborate with a number of models around the world. Mademoiselle Jou, who has often been there when we called on her for a fashion show, honors us by answering a few questions for our magazine!

But who is Mademoiselle Jou?
I am a latex fetishist! I love everything about this material, from how it feels on the skin to the various aesthetics that can be created with it. I am also a fetish photo model, which includes latex, of course, but also other materials like vinyl, leather, fine lingerie... I love expressing my ideas and fantasies through shoots, photos, and videos!

What are your passions?
No surprise… latex! Hahah, I also really enjoy makeup. It’s a great way to express my creativity, create characters, and it also helps me relax. One of my passions is fashion; I love watching fashion shows, discovering new trends (good or bad...), and admiring the lines, curves, and materials... It also inspires me a lot for my shoots!

How long have you been a fetish model? Where did your passion for this universe come from?
Oh wow, a very long time! It’s been almost 10 years! I always remember being attracted to alternative, grunge, and gothic looks. Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman outfit, Britney Spears' red catsuit, the great era of Mugler or Jean Paul Gaultier with leather, metal, latex... It’s always been a part of me, I’d say.

Do you share this part of your life privately?
Yes, it’s a part of me, so it’s unthinkable for the person who shares my life not to be involved in this "scene"! The lucky one is the photographer Eskal Ton. This month, we’re celebrating 10 years together. We met at a fetish after work, so we knew immediately what we were getting into.

You attend many fetish events around the world, what are some of your great encounters and memories from this?
There are so many great memories! Doing the Montreal Fetish Weekend with the entire Catanzaro team, shooting with Lady Perse, the UK Fetish Awards with Ruby Alexia, walking around in full latex in the streets of Berlin or Montreal, a lot has happened in 10 years of my career!

Do you also walk the runway for designers or creators?
That's right! One of my first runway shows was even for Maison Catanzaro. I was terrified, but it was such a beautiful experience. And there have been many more with the brand since, such as in Montreal and Paris. I’ve also walked in Berlin for Luna’s Latex and Antidote London, in Munich for Tarza and Jane, and in Paris for Mademoiselle Ilo...

Can you tell us more about your future projects?
I want to continue doing shoots where I have fun, where my creativity and that of everyone involved in the project are showcased, and where I can present beautiful things to my community. I also have one or two shows in mind, with latex, sexy, sensual elements... I will start working on them seriously and maybe one day, reveal them on stage at an event, who knows...

Do you have any collaboration projects in the near future?
I have some projects coming up with Greg Kozo, Jean-Lionel Parot, and Eskal Ton, in pairs, solo, and group work... There are really great things in the works, and I can't wait to show you all of this!
