Montréal Fetish Weekend

Montréal Fetish Weekend

An unmissable event for the international Fetish community that took place from August 29 to September 2, 2024. Without a doubt and every year, conviviality and passion are there! Montreal, Magical City where tolerance is a way of life!

The French Team Catanzaro has very beautiful memories and we will undoubtedly return. But let's give the floor to Eric Paradis, creat
or and organizer of the event.

Can you tell us about your event in a few lines?
Montreal Fetish Weekend is above all an event that aims to bring together people who are similar while creating an opening to creativity and free self-expression.

First of all, the event is always about people. No matter how big or how good the event is, it is always the participants who will define what the event is, can be and will inevitably become.

It's up to the producers to strike a subtle balance between expectations, surprises, new types of activities (the Montreal Fetish Photo Walk was launched in Montreal and is often replicated in other cities these days) but also being able to hear what the participants want.

The possibilities are limited only by each person's imagination and desire to establish the perfect time and space where those participating can form beautiful, lasting friendships.

But who is Eric Paradis?
I wear many hats throughout the year but I consider myself part of a small community of fetish enthusiasts. Of course, my role as a producer means that the tides of my passions ebb and flow gently with the flow of time.

MFW has been around for a long time now, but can you tell us about the beginning of MFW?
The event started in 2004 as a backyard barbecue and evolved from a simple idea to create an event that would bring together amazing people from around the world in the city of Montreal.

It was about creating and sharing moments of joy. The first year there were less than 200 people. Although it was quite a challenge, it was also fun and rewarding to see smiles and the idea of establishing a new type of event.

Before Montreal Fetish Weekend, most events were a one-night ball. I knew from my previous experience producing events that we needed to offer more than one night to entice people to come from far and wide. We needed to showcase the creativity and hospitality of our city.

The program for this new edition?
Very complex and extensive with a dozen evenings over 4 nights, around fifteen workshops, cocktails, dinners, after-parties as well as two exhibitor fairs, a picnic and a fantastic fetish photo hike.

Will many partners also be at your side?
Yes, we are very fortunate in this regard because over the years the partnership aspect has continued to grow in scope, both in terms of sponsorship partners (Shoe Freaks, Séduction, Be Gloss, Lingerie Lowdown, Mobile Secret Fétiche, Las Vegas Sin City Halloween Ball, Hôtel Chrome and others that will be announced shortly) but also in terms of club and promoter partners such as Club L, Tension, L’Orage, Rituæls, The Taboo Factory, Cabaret Cléo, etc. There are also extraordinary photographers who have been collaborating for years to make the event a success.

Are there already a lot of people expected? Will international models be there too?
Yes, 2024 is already a record year with the hotel being sold out for a month and the VIP pass sales also being sold out. This is unprecedented.

How do you find the international fetish scene? Has it changed? Is it evolving? What is your opinion?
It is difficult for me to comment as I have travelled very little in recent years but I have to say that the concept of a "Fetish Weekend" as we launched it 20 years ago seems to have taken root in several other cities.

What are your plans for future editions?
Finding local and international succession to help me ensure the sustainability of what we have established here in Montreal while looking outside the country to find new possibilities for a series of smaller, richer events.
