“It all began in 2018, with a simple desire: to offer our customers high-quality products that stand out from the ordinary. At the time, we wanted to create a space where every customer would feel inspired, warmly welcomed, and where quality would always take precedence over quantity.
Originally located in PUGET SUR ARGENS, our boutique opened in a moderately sized, warmly decorated space. Our first customers quickly noticed our attention to detail, our carefully curated product selection, and above all, our genuine desire to bring joy. Thanks to their trust, we were able to grow while staying true to our core values: authenticity, quality, and closeness.
Over the years, our product range has expanded, but our spirit remains the same. Each item we offer is carefully chosen, often crafted locally or by artisans, and reflects our commitment to more responsible consumption.
Today, our boutique has moved and grown — and it’s much more than just a retail space. It’s a place for connection, discovery, and sometimes even shared stories. And it’s all thanks to you. Thank you for being part of this adventure.”
How would you describe the identity and style of your boutique in a few words?
"Warm, artisanal, and authentic: a place where we take the time to do things well."
What types of products or brands do you like to highlight in your boutique, and why?
"In our boutique, we love to spotlight products that are carefully selected for their quality, originality, and the story they tell. We favor independent designers, such as Maison Catanzaro, local or French brands, as well as ethical and sustainable products. Our goal is to offer meaningful items that fit within the KINKY universe — whether they’re handmade objects, limited edition collections, or brands committed to responsible practices. We choose each brand for what it represents: a bold style, fine materials, craftsmanship, or genuine innovation. What drives us is the desire to introduce unique products that truly tell a story."
How do you perceive current fashion trends?
"Fashion trends today reflect a desire for balance between style, consciousness, and individuality. Our clients want to express their identity beyond fashion dictates. There’s a real blending of styles and a craving for unique, statement pieces. We’ve noticed our customers are rediscovering the value of craftsmanship, well-tailored garments, and timeless designs. Fast fashion is losing ground among a segment of the public who prefer to buy less, but better."
What are the biggest challenges you face as a boutique today?
"There are many challenges, but they push us to reinvent ourselves daily. Among the most significant: online platforms offer a massive selection, often at low prices, which makes our positioning more demanding. We focus on providing a unique customer experience, personalized advice, and strong product presentation. With rising rents, overheads, and production costs, it’s becoming harder to offer fair pricing. This requires strict and creative management. Our clients expect more than ever authenticity, transparency, and meaning. We need to stay attentive, reactive, and sometimes rethink our entire sourcing or communication approach. Despite everything, these challenges are also opportunities to stand out, to build stronger relationships with our clients, and to develop a human-sized, resilient, and inspiring business."
What advice would you give to a new customer discovering your boutique for the first time?
"Welcome to KINKY-SHOP!
If it’s your first visit, take your time — browse, touch, and explore. Every product here has been carefully chosen — for its quality, originality, or the story behind it. Don’t hesitate to ask questions: we’re here to advise you, share the background of a brand, or help you find the piece that truly resonates with you. My advice? Let yourself be surprised. Often, it’s the unexpected finds that become your favorites. And above all, feel at home — here, the service is personal, pressure-free, and always with a smile."
Which of our brand’s products are the most successful in your boutique, and why do you think that is?
"Among the items from MAISON CATANZARO that are particularly popular with our customers, the vinyl dresses and jumpsuits are the standout favorites. Their thoughtful design, the quality you can feel at first touch (customers know they’re buying something durable and well-made), and their originality or versatility really appeal. Our clients also love your brand’s story: its philosophy, commitments, and local roots add meaning to their purchase."
What has been the most popular product in your boutique’s history?
"There are so many… We’ve been working together for 7 years now, with passion and great chemistry. On the purely kinky side, we’d say the MARIA dress has been a real hit, like a piece of candy, but we must also mention catsuits like ANGELICA and dresses like LEOPARD, which are bestsellers for us. In the more libertine scene, the Isabella and Cannes dresses are true gems."
What has been your most memorable customer experience?
"One of our most memorable customer experiences was with a young woman we’ll call Marie. She came in by chance, looking for a last-minute gift. After a long conversation, she ended up choosing a deeply personal item to give to a dear friend. A few days later, she returned, tears in her eyes, just to thank us: the gift had deeply moved the recipient. That moment reminded us why we do what we do — for the emotions, the connections, and the stories that unfold around each item. These rare but genuine bonds are what give our work true meaning."
Any anecdote you'd like to share with our readers?
"Last month, a customer walked into our boutique, drawn by a black vinyl dress (TROCADERO) displayed on a mannequin in the MAISON CATANZARO corner. She was hesitant at first, unsure if she had the courage to wear it. We started chatting about her style, her desires, and she confided that she had always wanted to wear something bold but had never dared. After trying it on, she stepped out of the fitting room with a big smile. The dress had transformed her. She saw herself in the mirror — more confident — and knew instantly it was the perfect piece for a special night she’d been planning for a long time. It was an impulsive purchase, but it sparked a true stylistic liberation. She came back this week, beaming. She told us she wore the dress to a Fetish party and was complimented all night, as if everyone saw a new, bolder, more radiant version of her. That kind of transformation — both inside and out — reminds us why even a unique piece like a vinyl dress can be a true expression of personality."

We don’t post a lot on social media because we believe in bringing our physical store to life. We prefer to have real conversations over a coffee and to share moments in person rather than virtually.
